Donato Cabrera conducts the San Francisco Symphony |
| Donato Cabrera, who participated in our Ansbacher fellowship program for young conductors in 2002, was asked to step in and conduct the San Francisco Symphony, which he managed with aplomb, despite having just one day to rehearse! We are delighted that one of our fellows has been so successful and wish Donato even more success in his new position as Assistant Conductor of the San Francisco Symphony and Music Director of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra.
This year’s Ansbacher fellows are Matthew Oberstein and Yuchi Chou. They spent the summer attending rehearsals at the Salzburg festival.
Three talented artists from the United States, Yoni Goldstein, Raquel Mendoza and Bille Lee, spent the summer visiting the Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts as Daisy Soros Prize for Fine Art recipients. |
