Limited Spots Available—Leading an American Orchestra
September 29 – October 2, 2012
In partnership with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the League is offering a multi-day program for emerging conductors who are committed to careers in American orchestras. The program will focus on the wide range of skills, artistic and beyond, required from the leaders of our orchestras today.
Six conductors have already been selected for podium time with the ASO and feedback from Music Director Robert Spano. Twenty additional conductors will participate in everything but the podium time.
If you would like to join as a participant conductor, please send a letter of interest and CV to Polly Kahn at pkahn@americanorchestras.org no later than July 15, 2012.
Please note that if selected, there is a participation fee of $500.
