MSO adds assistant conductor, five musicians

The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra has hired a new assistant conductor and appointed five new musicians to its ranks.

As assistant conductor, Francesco Lecce-Chong will lead the MSO in many youth and family concerts as well as its annual Wisconsin state tour and Basilica Series. Lecce-Chong has conducted the Sofia Festival Orchestra, Curtis Symphony Orchestra, Curtis Opera Theatre and Brooklyn Repertory Opera. He’s also a pianist who plays solo and chamber music.
