The Yale Glee Club and the 2012 Yale International Choral Festival invite applications for our Conducting Fellows program.

Conducting Fellows – 2012 Yale International Choral Festival

Fellows will be invited to conduct in three masterclasses (June 19-21, 2012) with three of our visiting ensembles: the Choir of the Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing, the Cambridge University Consort of Voices, and the Yale Choral Artists. The masterclasses will be led by Yang Hongnian of the Central Conservatory, Martin Ennis of Cambridge University, and Yale conducting faculty members Jeffrey Douma and Marguerite Brooks. Repertoire will be drawn from the concert programs of the three participating choirs. All sessions will be filmed.
Conducting Fellows will receive free tuition and free registration for the entire 5-day festival (www.yaleinternationalchoralfest.org). They will be responsible for the costs of transportation to and from New Haven, CT (USA) and for their own food and lodging (inexpensive room and board options are available on campus).
Eligibility: Current undergraduate and graduate students, as well as choral conductors in the early stages of their careers, are encouraged to apply.
To apply, please submit the following materials by Jan. 20, 2012:
