Exclusive Dutch National Master Orchestral Conducting – apply before 31 December

Want to do a Master’s degree course and work with professional orchestras whilst studying? Then the Dutch National Master Orchestral Conducting is the right course for you.

The Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Royal Conservatoire The Hague offer this exclusive Master’s degree together.

The study programme builds a bridge between the conservatory and the professional practice and offers students an outstanding opportunity to build and expand their own professional networks. Under the supervision of principal subject teachers Jac van Steen, Ed Spanjaard and Kenneth Montgomery the students work with professional Dutch symphony orchestras. The students follow an extensive curriculum and a research programme related to the principal subject. Furthermore, they will have ample opportunity to rehearse with the orchestras involved, during which they will usually be coached by the orchestra’s chief conductor.

Candidates must have a Bachelor in Music degree. Closing date for application: 31 December 2013.
Those selected will be invited to the piano audition on 4 February 2014, during which a maximum of two or three candidates will be selected for an audition with The North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra on 5 February 2014.
