CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY (CSUB), SAN BERNARDINO Position: Orchestral Music Education. Full-time, tenure-track position

Position:  Orchestral Music Education.  Full-time, tenure-track position.  Responsibilities:  Direct the CSUB Chamber Orchestra, teach music education courses, and other duties assigned and based on qualifications and department need.  Active participation in recruiting music majors is an important expectation of the position.  Preferred candidates will be expected to meet the traditional requirements of excellence in teaching, active scholarly and professional work, and service to the University and community.  In addition, new faculty members are encouraged to develop and participate in activities that support the University’s strategic plan, which emphasizes (a) teaching and learning excellence; (b) student access, retention, and success;  (c) excellence in research and creative activities; (d)  campus community;  (e) community engagement;  and (f) infrastructure.  Qualifications:  An earned doctorate in music is required at the time of appointment.
