KANSAS WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY (KWU), SALINA
Position: Director of String Program. Full-time tenure-track. Responsibilities: Teach and direct the string program. Qualified candidates will maintain and assist in recruiting an active string orchestra program, work closely with the Director of Bands for a full orchestra program, teach applied string lessons, and additional music/music education courses. Additional responsibilities include teaching pre-college applied lessons, and fostering community outreach and relationships. The position will require working closely with local arts organizations and area schools. Qualifications: A Masters in Music is required; a terminal degree is preferred. Professional teaching experience is also preferred. Salary: dependent on qualifications. Begin: August, 2014. Deadline: Processing of applications will begin March 1.
