Thalassa Music announces the “Black Sea” Costanta (Romania) Conducting Masterclass with Maestro Vittorio Parisi (Conducting teacher in Conservatorio G.Verdi di Milano, Italy) and the Costantza Symphony Orchestra on 2014 September 8-13. A maximum of 12 applicants will be selected and the 4 best conductors will conduct in a public concert on Septeber 13.
The Masterclass program is:
Mozart: Symphony nr 33
Rossini: Il Barbiere di Siviglia-Overture (Ricordi Edition Rev.Zedda)
Brahms: Symphony nr 3
Dvorak: Symphony nr 9 (From the New World)
All the 12 selected conductors will have 90 minutes each of conducting with the Costantza Symphony Orchestra and 60 minutes each of conducting with piano. The 4 best conductors selected for the public concert will have extra time with the Orchestra onSeptember 13.
Vittorio Parisi is teaching conducting in Milano since 1997 and has been teacher of conducting in Melbourne for the Symphony Australia Program with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (2003) and Orvieto Masterclass Workshop Opera (2013,2014). Among his best students Giuseppe Finzi (actually Resident Conductor in San Francisco Opera House, USA) Andrea Sanguineti (Generalmusikdirektor in Goerlitz, former vice Generalmusikdirektor and 1st Kappelmeister in Wuerzburg, former Kappelmeister in Hannover, Germany) Antonino Fogliani (guest conductor in many opera houses and symphonic orchestras worldwide Teatro alla Scala included) Tito Ceccherini, Pierre Hoppe, Yusuke Kumehara, Some of his actual students have already started a brilliant conducting career winning also conducting competitions.
