The Board of the Regina Symphony Orchestra is seeking a Music Director to succeed Maestro Sawa when he stands down in 2015. 

The Regina Symphony Orchestra is a full scale, fully professional orchestra that presents a varied program of masterworks, pops, family concerts, chamber music and special events over a 39-week annual season. In addition, the orchestra’s core members (RSO Chamber Players) perform dozens of school concerts; ‘run out’ concerts in South Saskatchewan communities; and free concerts in venues throughout the city of Regina. They also take part in educational activities aimed at students and First Nations youth. 

The Regina Symphony Orchestra plays an important role in the cultural fabric of Southern Saskatchewan. By continuing to strive for excellence in performance and by remaining relevant to its audiences, the Orchestra will continue to grow and to enrich life in the Province. The role of the Music Director is to lead the artistic planning and programming for each season, conduct the orchestra, and act as community advocate for the RSO’s concerts and activities.
