Tokyo International Music Competition
The Tokyo International Music Competition was established in 1966 for the purpose of promoting global music and cultural exchange with the sincere wish to contribute to discovering and fostering many capable artists throughout the world. Among its three categories of vocalist, conductors, and chamber ensembles, the Tokyo International Music Competition for Conducting is held every three years since its inception in 1967, and we will have the honor of auspiciously holding the 16th Competition in the year 2012.
With the immense support of renowned musicians, conductors and many other individuals around the world, it has been developed as an internationally acclaimed competition in Asia, which is attracting many contestants from more than 30 countries every time, and is now recognized as the gateway to success in the musical career of conductors around the world.
As the organizer of this event, Min-On makes every endeavor to ensure that the numerous capable musicians are discovered and nurtured through this Competition and soaring high into a new era of the international musical world.
