The Department of Music and Theatre at Xavier University seeks a Director of Instrumental Activities (Assistant Professor, tenure-track) to begin in the Fall of 2015.  The successful candidate will conduct Symphonic Winds and either Jazz Ensemble or Chamber Orchestra, oversee instrumental ensembles, and teach Instrumental Methods and other courses related to his or her interests and expertise. 

The successful candidate will hold a doctoral degree in conducting or music education by the start of the appointment.  At least 3 years of K-12 teaching experience are expected, and college teaching experience is preferred.
