Position: Choral Conductor. Full-time. The University is seeking a new colleague to serve as the Department’s choral conductor and instructor of courses in aural skills and musicianship. Responsibilities: Direct one or two choral ensembles per term, teach courses in aural skills and musicianship, and fulfill normal service duties as appropriate to the position. UCI is especially interested in applicants who have both knowledge of standard choral repertoire and vocal technique and the ability to work outside that repertoire in an area such as gospel choir, twentieth-century repertory, or early music performance practices. Academic qualifications: Hold an appropriate graduate degree in music or professional experience commensurate with the appointment. Salary: Commensurate with appointment.
