OVERVIEW
The European Institute of Cultural Development in accordance with the collaboration
with Stichting Panula and Polish Philharmonic Symphony Baltic in 2015 will hold in
the north of Poland, in Slupsk the Masterclass for Conductors.
The masterclass under the guidance of Maestro Jorma Panula, will comprise five
training days aimed at explaining and displaying basic concepts of the orchestral
conducting, outlined and systematized by the greatest conductors of our time based
on the personal musical and teaching experience.
Musical pieces diverse in nature and style have been pre-selected for the program.
They were chosen since every one of them poses a typical challenge and its
numerous variations that conductors are forced to face throughout their entire
professional life.
During individual training sessions (piano and/or orchestra) participants’ attention will
focus on specific practical objectives including conducting patterns and cues, tempo
