At the Harmony Program, music changes lives every day. Through collective music making, children from underserved communities explore new avenues and realize their full potential. Our specially trained teachers guide students from beginner group instruction to orchestral performance, building life skills and community from a shared love of music.
About this position:
The Harmony Program is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial conductor-administrator to lead and manage the growth of a borough-based youth orchestra in Brooklyn, NY. Our existing youth orchestra is comprised of 30 intermediate-level musicians in middle and high school. In addition to leading weekly rehearsals on Saturday mornings, the conductor will establish relationships with potential feeder schools to make the orchestra available to more students in the community.
