Halifax Summer Choral Conducting Symposium accepting conducting participants! July 13-17, 2015

The HSCCS welcomes conducting participants to the 3rd annual Halifax Summer Choral Conducting Symposium, July 13-17 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Halifax Summer Choral Conducting Symposium exists to provide quality summer instruction in choral/vocal pedagogy, conducting technique, choral repertoire, and Dalcroze Eurhythmics. The event draws together school/university educators, church musicians, choral singers, and undergraduate/graduate music students from across North America.
In 2015, Dr. Richard Sparks joins our resident teaching team as guest clinician!
2015 Halifax Summer Choral Conducting Symposium highlights:
– Daily Dalcroze Eurhythmics sessions
– Daily conducting sessions and masterclasses with Symposium Chorus – Faure Requiem and Haydn Te Deum No. 2 in C
– “Morning sing” sessions
– Vocal/choral pedagogy sessions
– Individual vocal/keyboard/conducting coachings
