The University of Evansville announces a non-tenure-track position for a visiting assistant professor of Music and Director of Orchestral Activities, beginning August 2015. Primary duties include conducting the University Orchestra and String Ensemble. Vigorous recruitment, especially of string majors, is expected. Additional teaching assignment is based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and departmental needs. Academic advising and service are expected. Masters required, Doctorate is preferred. Candidates with an earned doctorate may be invited to apply for the tenure-track position search for the 2016/2017 academic year.
