, Kromeříž, CZ): This course focuses on conducting (baton) technique, effective communication with the baton and body, and score study and interpretation. It includes: 120+ minutes of podium time with orchestra, 2 baton technique/conducting classes, 4-6 score study sessions/score previews, 12 video reviews, individual coaching and lessons, and a public participant concert. Participants will receive videos of their conducting sessions and complimentary photos of themselves conducing the orchestra. Faculty: Maestros Kirk Trevor, Markand Thakar, and Tomas Netopil. Repertoire includes: Janacek Idyll, Dvorak Serenade for Strings, Britten Simple Symphony, Beethoven Symphony No. 2, Haydn Symphony No. 102, Stravinsky Two Suites for small orchestra, Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 5, Rimsky-Korsakov Scheherezade, Shostakovich Symphony No. 7, Berlioz Symphony Fantastique, StraussTill Eulenspiegel, and Liszt Les Preludes.
