Visiting Director of Orchestral Activities Marywood University
Summary of Duties
Marywood University announces a full-time one-year position for a visiting Director of Orchestral Activities, beginning August 2015. Primary duties include conducting the Marywood University Orchestra and teaching orchestral conducting. Other courses will depend on candidates’ areas of expertise and departmental needs.
Vigorous recruitment, especially of string majors, is expected. Regular participation in faculty meetings, committees, and other service activities is also expected.
Master’s degree is required; a doctorate is preferred.
- Work Experience Requirements:
Experience teaching music history is preferred.
