The 13th annual ICWC in cooperation with Georgia Southern University and the Gwinnett

Symphony Chamber Orchestra is scheduled for Jan. 15-18, 2016. This popular, intensive, well

attended and well respected workshop and competition is open to conductors at all levels of

experience, and is based on the techniques promoted by Ferrara, Monteux, Musin, and Szell.

Faculty includes Adrian Gnam, Director; with Associate Directors Dr. Gregory Pritchard and

Robert Gutter. Each participant will conduct a professional orchestra throughout the workshop

and on a public performance on Monday, Jan. 18. A major benefit will include the selection at

the end of the workshop of up to three participants to conduct on a concert of one of three

orchestras during a current or future season, depending on the orchestra and the winner’s

availability. Past participants have gained positions with Cincinnati, Ft. Worth, Detroit, New

Jersey, Portland (ME), and Minnesota Orchestras. Participant fees have been reduced to

$1,550.00 which includes a professionally recorded video and DVD of each participant’s

orchestral sessions. Applications will be accepted until the workshop is filled, however those

submitted by Nov. 14, 2015, will receive priority.  Upon notification of acceptance, a $500

deposit must be made with the balance due by Dec. 5, 2015. Auditor fees are $400.00. No

refunds will be made after Dec. 5, 2015. Submit: A completed application, resume and video link
