Position: Music Director/Conductor. The OSO is in its 50th season and is a fully professional per service orchestra. Programming includes a five-concert subscription season, summer outdoor concerts, and school-day concerts, church programs, and on a contract basis with other performing arts groups. An Academy offers training to more than 100 talented young musicians annually, including a Youth Orchestra program. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess exceptional musicianship and conducting skills; significant conducting experience, including work with professional musicians, a knowledge of a broad range of repertoire; and evidence of successful collaboration with all orchestral constituencies. Finalists will be invited to conduct a concert during the 2016-17 season, from which the successful candidate will be chosen.
