Join us for a daylong event, a “Maestro Class”, designed for Conductors and featuring world-renowned Conductor Gerard Schwarzformer Music Director of the Mostly Mozart Festival at Lincoln Center; currentlyMusic Director of the All-Star Orchestra, the Eastern Music Festival and Conductor Laureate of the Seattle Symphony.  This event is presented in conjunction with Mr. Schwarz’s appearance as Guest Conductor with the Des Moines Symphony

Maestro Class Schedule of Events:


·         Observe Mr. Schwarz in a rehearsal setting by attending his morning dress rehearsal with the Des Moines Symphony. 


·         Share in a thought provoking afternoon session led by Mr. Schwarz with lively discussion topics to include the roles of being a Music Director and a Guest Conductor and the repertoire for Mr. Schwarz’s concert with the Des Moines Symphony, with an emphasis on Brahms’ Symphony No. 4.


·         Finish your day by attending the Des Moines Symphony’s Gerard Schwarz conducts Brahms.
