The third annual 2016 U.S. Army Band Conductors Workshop is scheduled for July 18-21, 2016 in Arlington, VA. The program is geared toward conductors at the graduate level, or in the early stages of a conducting career.

Our guest clinician this year is Craig Kirchhoff from the University of Minnesota. We will be choosing 6 participants to work with Prof. Kirchhoff and Colonel Timothy Holtan in preparing The U.S. Army Band for a public performance on Thursday, July 21 in Brucker Hall on Fort Myer.

Tuition for is FREE for participants, and anyone interested in auditing is welcome to attend (also free). I’ve also attached a flyer with application information.

Sessions are videotaped for applicants, and the feedback we’ve gotten from participants in the last two years has been overwhelmingly positive.

The deadline to apply (a resume, cover letter, and video/YouTube sample is required) is May 1.
