Position/Job Summary

The Ithaca College School of Music announces a full-time, one-year temporary position in instrumental (wind-percussion) music education/conducting at the rank of assistant professor. Duties will include conducting the Ithaca College Concert Band. Other duties may include teaching instrumental conducting, teaching instrumental methods courses, mentoring/supervising student teachers, and teaching other undergraduate or graduate music education courses based on candidate expertise or program needs.

Position/Job Qualifications
Doctorate in music education; candidates with completed doctoral coursework considered. Successful teaching and conducting experience in instrumental music at the elementary/secondary level is required (minimum three years), with additional experience at the collegiate level preferred.
