Department: Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Education and Community Engagement
Reports to: Director of Education and Community Engagement


  1. Help BSYO with sectionals and rehearsals; assist BSYO Music Director
  2. Mentor advanced high school string players in orchestral performance
  3. Provide chamber music support and coachings as needed
  4. Other duties as assigned


  1. Currently enrolled Peabody conducting student with a Federal Work-Study award
  2. Orchestral and chamber music performance experience
  3. Teaching experience
  4. Strong communication skills
  5. Interests in mentoring young talent
  6. Access to transportation preferred (job site accessible via bus)

Pay Rate:  $18/hour

Job Dates:  Sundays from noon-5pm at Carver Center for Arts and Technology, 938 York Road, Baltimore MD 21204.

  • Fall Semester: 9/24/16-12/11/16
  • Spring Semester: 1/7/16-5/7/16
