|Duties||The primary responsibilities for this position include the teaching of studio violin/viola. Other responsibilities include undergraduate teaching, student advising, departmental and university committee service and continuing professional activity/scholarly research. Preference will be given to someone able to direct the College/Youth Symphony, an ensemble comprising college students, community members, and talented high school students. Other areas of teaching could include, but are not limited to: class piano, theory, applied chamber music, or sight singing.

• Doctorate in either strings performance/teaching pedagogy from a nationally recognized institution
• Significant professional performing experience
• Higher Education teaching experience
