WMC Kerkrade Intercontinental Conducting Master Class
with Douglas Bostock in cooperation with Yasuhide Ito and
Senzoku Gakuen College of Music Green Tie Wind Ensemble

Active participation is open to a maximum of 15 conductors of any nationality under the age of 39 on 20.8.2017. There is no age limit for auditors.

At the end of the Master Class two active participants will be selected by Maestro Bostock and Maestro Ito to attend the final WMC Conducting Course and Competition in Kerkrade, The Netherlands 14 – 19 July 2017, led by a panel of internationally renowned conductors. Travel and accommodation costs for the selected conductors will be paid by WMC.

The Master Class will provide an extensive range of conducting opportunities and generous podium time for conductors to work with the ensembles and orchestra under expert guidance and tutelage.

The official language of the Master Class is English. In certain circumstances translations into Japanese may be available.

About the WMC Lifelong Learning

In 2016 / 2017, the Wolrd Music Contest (WMC) in Kerkrade, The Netherlands is organizing 9 courses for conductors worldwide under the motto “Lifelong Learning”. They take place in Singapore, Columbia, China, Japan, the USA, Italy, The Netherlands, and Germany.

All the intercontinental courses will include repertoire both for chamber ensemble and wind orchestra. The final WMC Conducting Course and Competition in Kerkrade will include repertoire for symphony orchestra, ensemble and wind orchestra.
