Dohnanyi masterclass 2017

Conducting Masterclass of Dohnanyi Academy relies on the outstanding Budafok Dohnanyi Orchestra that is known both in Hungary and abroad. The Masterclass will primarily be focused on acquiring deep knowledge, rested on understanding each minute detail of the pieces and the sheet music.  The aim is that the most possible active participants of the Class should conduct as many as possible parts of the pieces and so expand their experience, based on their own or the others’ work. Each active participant may conduct in the concert.

Pieces during the Masterclass:
Béla Bartók: Piano Concerto No. 3, Sz. 119
Mozart: Symphony No. 41 in C major, K 551, “Jupiter” Symphony
Brahms: Symphony No. 1

Time and place of the Masterclass:
15-23 July 2017, Budapest, Hungary
Number of active participants: maximum 11.

Participation fee:
Active participants: EUR 1450 (inc. tax) participation fee
Passive participants: EUR 250 (inc. tax) participation fee

The participation fee includes a video recording of the closing concert.
Language of the Masterclass is English
