Choral and Orchestral Conducting – Union College Schenectady, New York Lecturer in Choral and Orchestral Conducting and Director of Performance.
Two-thirds time position with full benefits. Initial three-year appointment (renewable).
Dynamic conductor and educator to lead and build on established choral and orchestral programs. The conductor will recruit new members and prepare musical programs of interest and challenge. Other duties include teaching one course per year related to the person’s expertise and the department’s needs. The ideal candidate will be an artist of the highest level and an energetic leader. The successful candidate will possess a proven record of success as a conductor, a broad knowledge of orchestral and choral repertoire, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Increasing diversity on campus is a critical priority for Union College.
