AGE LIMIT  : The competition is open to candidates of all nationalities born between 16 September 2001 and 16 September 1982 inclusive.

REGISTRATION FEES  : 250 €
For every confirmed nominations, registration fees remain due in case of cancellation or absence of the candidate. However, if the contest had to be canceled for any reason, the registration fee would be refunded without the candidates can have no recourse against the organizer. The registration fees are to be paid only by international bank transfer to the following account:

All bank charges are the responsibility of the customer (applicant), which must check with his bank that the Festival will receive exactly € 250 NET.

REGISTRATION FORM  : to be accepted, the registration dossiers must be completed to be in French or English only “online” on this site.
No application will be accepted by mail, or in the form of email.
Only folders including all required fields are completed will be accepted. They will also include, for download (jpeg or pdf file):

  • copy of an official ID
  • curriculum vitae ( maximum 2 pages )
  • recent photograph
  • bank receipt of the transfer of the registration fee of € 250 net

No other document (CD, DVD, press review …) will be considered.

General information

WORKS TO BE PRESENTED:  all works are imposed. For each event, the jury chooses one or more works, in whole or extracted at the time of passage of each competitor.
Candidates are either direct or all of the musical pieces, or work the artists in their musical direction, according to their desire for interpretation or as requested by the jury. The official languages are French and English, the contest does not for a translator available.

PRESENCE OF CANDIDATES, CONFIDENTIALITY  : each candidate will stand for hours at the places indicated by the organizers. In case of absence or delay, it will be eliminated. A draw will determine the order in which candidates for each event.
From registration up to the end of the trials and the results were announced, and as long as the candidate is not removed,  no contact of any kind is allowed between the candidates and the members of the jury or the artists competition, outside of trials, under penalty of exclusion.

JURY: the jury reserves the right to interrupt a test, or exclude a competitor during the race without being required to communicate its reasons. The jury’s decisions are final and without appeal. The voice of the President of the jury is decisive in case of equality of votes.

AUDIENCE: presets events were held in camera or are restricted to a limited public (schools, students, partners …). In September, all tests with orchestras are public (except the dress rehearsal for the Final).

REGISTRATION OF EVENTS:  the candidate allows for free registration of events for all uses radio, television and Internet, live, offline and streaming, to the exclusion of commercial operation. The detail of audiovisual applications will be clarified before the finals.

GRAND PRIZE  : There is € 12,000. The jury reserves the right not to assign. It can not be shared. The winner will also receive possible engagements with orchestras partners of the Contest, as well as an artistic support of three months (consulting, coaching).
The jury will be able to award a second prize or a mention; Contest can provide these prices.

PARTNERS OF THE CONTEST  : upcoming

TRAVEL AND STAY:
For preset tests, all expenses (travel, meals, accommodation) are the responsibility of the candidate.
For the finals in September with orchestra:

  • Accommodation: Contest offers candidates to be hosted graciously family accommodation (bed and breakfast) in Besançon from 10 to 16 September 2017.
    If the candidate chose another type of accommodation (hotel …), it will bear.
  • Restoration: the responsibility of the candidate.
  • Transport: the contest will participate in candidates transportation costs from their habitual residence, as a package:
    • € 100 for residents in France (beyond 200 km)
    • € 200 for residents in Europe (excluding France)
    • 300 € for the rest of the World

MUSIC: works partitions to prepare for the tests presets and final examination (for selected candidates) will be sent to each candidate after confirmation of registration (by email or download link). The contest also takes over the purchase of the original score of the work created for the Final for all candidates.

The French text of the Regulation shall prevail. In case of dispute, the courts of Besancon are competent.
If necessary, the direction may change without notice the organization of the Contest, without recourse candidates.
