Host orchestra: The New Symphony Orchestra (Sofia, Bulgaria)
All conductors will have six 10-minute sessions with full orchestra and approximately 5-7 sessions with sextet. Same as last year, there will be 12 orchestra sessions and 9 sextet sessions. ICWF will also present one full orchestra and one chamber music concert led by ICWF faculty and featuring guest artists. There will be no public concert for participants.
All sessions in both workshops will be digitally video recorded in high definition and conductors will have full use of their video. Hotel, two meals each day, and airport transfers are included in the tuition price.
Repertoire: Beethoven Symphonies #2, 4, and 5; Brahms Symphonies #2 and 4; Debussy La Mer and Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun
First application deadline: January 15, 2017. After that, all applications will be considered on a rolling, space-available basis.
