GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIP IN ORCHESTRAL CONDUCTING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH DAKOTA
The University of South Dakota announces a Graduate Assistantship opening for the Masters of Music program in Orchestral Conducting. Graduate Assistants serve as assistant conductors of the University of South Dakota Symphony Orchestra and conduct regularly in each of the ensemble’s performances throughout the academic year. They also lead ad hoc chamber ensembles, and serve in the organization of the University of South Dakota Orchestra Festival, the annual Summer Music Camp, and the University of South Dakota Band and Orchestra Directors Institute. The Graduate Assistants will also serve as orchestra managers and librarians, contributing with the logistical aspects of our orchestral division. Opera conducting opportunities are available for candidates with interest in the field.
