The International Conductors’ Festival of Kiev (ICF)

The International Conductors’ Festival of Kiev (ICF) is a unique workshop/festival hybrid that is ideal for any conductor with advanced training who is seeking substantial and real experience conducting a professional orchestra (and this year chorus as well) in both rehearsals and concerts.
There is no primary teacher at ICF. Directors Matthew Brown (USA) and Christophe Rody (Switzerland) mentor participants and guide the experience, fostering a collegial and growth-oriented atmosphere in which like-minded conductors learn from each other, from the orchestra, from the music and from themselves.
The 9th annual ICF will be held this summer, June 12-24 in Kiev, at the magnificent Ukrainian National House of Organ and Chamber Music. Repertoire highlights will include Dvorak’s Symphony no. 7, Faure’s Requiem (with professional choir) and Mozart’s Piano Concerto no. 22 with acclaimed soloist Andriy Kutasevych. The full repertoire list is available on our website.
Visit for more information and to apply. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by March 15, and applications will continue to be accepted after that date until all the spots are successfully filled by qualified candidates.
