CONDUCTORS INSTITUTE IN SHENYANG, CHINA

June 25–July 7, 2017

 

The Conductors Institute will offer an exciting two-week conducting program in Shenyang, China June 25 to July 7, 2017.  A select number of conducting participants will work with the professional Shenyang Symphony in a series of rehearsals and public performances.

 

Directed by Dr. Donald Portnoy, this program is designed for conductors with moderate to advanced conducting skills.  In addition to daily orchestra rehearsals and concerts, a daily critique session is included in the program.  All rehearsals and concerts will be videotaped.

 

Time will be allowed for touring.  Accommodations are first class.  Working conditions for the participants and the hospitality offered during the stay are exceptional.  It is a rare opportunity for podium development in an historic environment.
