Orchestra Director – Southeastern Louisiana University Hammond, Louisiana
The Department of Fine and Performing Arts at Southeastern Louisiana University invites applications for the tenure track position Assistant Professor of Music. Responsibilities will include directing, developing and maintaining the SELU Orchestra and string chamber ensemble, teaching applied strings and string methods, assisting with development of string academy program, and performing with university/community orchestra.
Other duties may include music appreciation, conducting and orchestra methods.
Applicants must hold a Doctorate Degree in Music Performance, Conducting or Music Education from an accredited University. Teaching experience at the College/University level is required. Applicants must be committed to working with diversity.
