Active places
8 Conductors will be invited to participate as active students. Active participants are required to attend all sessions and the final concert. They will each get a minimum of 100 minutes podium time with the orchestra and will conduct one selection from the course repertoire in the final concert to be decided by the course professor. They will receive a video recording of all sessions and concert following the course plus a signed certificate from the course professor. Please visit the ‘apply’ page for application requirements. The deadline for applications is Friday 30th June, 2017.

Observer places
Observers are welcome to attend all masterclass sessions and the final concert. There will be a question and answer session scheduled with the course professor which observers are welcome to participate in. If possible please visit the ‘apply’ page to register and pay the course fee. However, observers are also able to turn up and pay by cash on the day.

All masterclass sessions and the final concert will be held at the church. The church is close to Cardiff City Centre in the university district of the city. It is within easy access to Cardiff Airport and the central rail and bus stations. There are plenty of accommodation options near to the church. Students will be responsible to make their own travel, accommodation and meal arrangements. CIAC can assist with any questions in regard to this.

– Active participant: £1550
– Observer: £250 for the whole course or £100 per day

– The official course language is English.
– Students are required to purchase their own scores.
– There is no age limit.
