EUROPEAN UNION COMPETITION FOR ORCHESTRA CONDUCTORS

Artes National Orchestra in cooperation with Bulgaria Hall, Kodaly Philarmonic Orchestra and Pazardjik Symphony Orchestra, with the patronage of the General Consulate of Bulgaria in Milan, announces the first edition of “EUROPEAN UNION COMPETITION FOR ORCHESTRA CONDUCTORS”.
The competition is open to musicians of any nationality without age limits.
The competition will be held in Sofia and Pazardjik (Bulgaria) from 8 until 13 January 2018.
The prize concerts will be held in Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria, Czech Republic and Poland.

From the First Round
M° Vittorio Parisi (Italy), President of the jury;

FIRST PRIZE
– 1 concert in one major theatre in Milan during the 2019 Italian tour of the Kodaly Philarmonic Orchestra in 2019*;
– 2 concerts in two major theatres in Italy during the 2019 Italian tour of the Kodaly Philarmonic Orchestra in 2019*;
– To conduct one opera performance in 2018/2019 season at the National Theatre in Opava (Czech Republic);
– 1 concert in Pazardjik Symphony Orchestra 2018/2019 Season in Pazardjik (Bulgaria);
– 1 limited series, tailor made ABL conducting baton with case
– Official Diploma.

SECOND PRIZE
– 1 concert in the 2018/2019 season of Kodaly Philarmonic Orchestra in Debrecen (Hungary);
– 1 concert in Witold Lutosławski Chamber Philharmonic 2018/2019 Season in Łomża (Poland);
– 1 limited series, tailor made ABL conducting baton with case
– Official Diploma.

To all the Semifinalists will be given an official certificate of Semifinalists.
Those who will successfully pass the eliminatory phase will receive a participation certificate.
The last stages of the competition will be open to the public and there will be present representatives of International Artists Agencies
