The workshop is open to conductors of any nationality without age limit.


Please download and submit a completed Application Form* on or before 1 September 2017 with the following:

  • a photocopy of current passport page showing nationality. Applicants from Hong Kong please submit a photocopy of your Hong Kong Identity Card (both sides);
  • a photo taken in the last 3 months;
  • 1 recent video of up to 15 minutes of you conducting an orchestra or an ensemble (piano reduction will not be accepted).

You may submit the video materials by sending a DVD, a USB drive, a memory card, or via a download link.

Participation Fee

HK$16,000 (with accommodation*) or HK$13,000 (no accommodation)

Please settle the payment within 14 days of receiving notice of acceptance in order to secure your participation in the workshop. Payment will be accepted via PayPal and is non-refundable.

*Hotel accommodation: 16 – 20 January 2018 (4 nights). 

Transport and Other Expenses

Conductors will be responsible for their own travel arrangements and other expenses (including accommodation, if applicable) for the participation in the workshop.

Visa Arrangements

According to Hong Kong Immigration law, non-Hong Kong permanent residents will need a training visa to participate in the workshop. The organizer will use its best endeavors to obtain training visas for the conductors.

  • Submitted application materials (including the recordings) will not be returned.
  • The workshop will be documented for archival and promotional purposes. Photographs, audio and visual recordings may be printed in publications or broadcast on TV, radio, or the internet. By joining the workshop, conductors agree to waive any rights relating to the participation in the workshop, including all visual, audio and application materials.
  • The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the details of the workshop.
