XII INTERNATIONAL CONDUCTING MASTERCLASS with Maestro MARTIN SIEGHART (Austria) and the SOUTH CZECH PHILHARMONIC. November 19 -23, 2017, Budweis, Czech Republic. 

J. Strauss – Overtures: “The Gypsy Baron” and ” A Night in Venice “,

I. Stravinsky Pulcinella – Suite, 

F. Schubert Symphony No.8 “Unfinished” in B minor, 

                  Symphony Nr. 4 “The Tragic” in C minor,

J. Haydn Symphony Nr. 88 in G major,

L. Beethoven Symphony Nr. 1 in C major,

A. Dvořák Symphony Nr. 9 “From The New World” in E minor. 
Participants are required to select and prepare 2-3 music works from this repertoire. 

There is no age limit for participation.

The course will include both, orchestra rehearsals and individual conducting lessons and will culminate in a final concert.

 

Each active participant will be entitled to:

– 100 minutes of podium time with the South Czech Philharmonic 

– 60 minutes of podium time in sessions with piano accompaniment; 

– participation in all meetings, classes, and rehearsals; 

– Each active participant will conduct at the dress rehearsal and the final concert 

 

Each semi-active participant will be entitled to:

– 90 minutes of podium time in sessions with piano accompaniment; 

– participation in all meetings, classes, rehearsals and the right to attend the final concert, without conducting the orchestra.

The concert will be held on November 23, 2017, at 7 pm in the Otakara Jeremiáše concert hall, Kněžská 411/6, 37001 České Budějovice. 

All qualifying active participants will conduct the final public concert and the concert program will be divided among the participants.

The application deadline is August 20, 2017.
