Description
Burris Laboratory School is looking to fill a part-time (4/5) contract-line faculty position available August 8, 2017.
Major responsibilities: Teaching, developing curricula, supervising undergraduate pre-service clinical experiences and activities, working collaboratively with administrators, students, faculty, and parents; participating in experimentation in the discipline or field study assigned; and providing service to the education profession through appropriate organizations related to elementary or secondary education. Serve on school and/or university committees and sponsor student activities.
Minimum Qualifications

Must be appropriately certified or demonstrate eligibility for Indiana teaching certification in Strings Music education by date of employment. Bachelor’s degree in Music Education for Elementary and Secondary Education from an accredited university. At least one semester teaching or student teaching experience in elementary, middle, or high school.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Strings Music Education or related field from an accredited university. At least three years of experience teaching at the elementary or secondary level; evidence of knowledge and skill in using educational technologies; evidence of knowledge and skill in working effectively with children with special needs and/or high ability.
