Position/Job Summary
The Ithaca College School of Music announces a full-time, tenure eligible position beginning August 2018 in instrumental (wind-percussion) conducting as Associate Director of Bands at the rank of assistant professor. Duties will include conducting two major instrumental ensembles and collaborating with the Director of Bands to administer the band program and continue to grow its long tradition of excellence and innovation. Other duties may include coaching chamber music, teaching instrumental conducting, teaching instrumental method courses, and teaching other courses based on the candidate’s expertise and program needs.
Position/Job Qualifications

Masters in conducting or music education required. Successful teaching and conducting expertise at the collegiate or professional level preferred.
