Program

The LUCERNE FESTIVAL ACADEMY is o ering a three-week-long Conducting Fellowship which invites three to four talented young conductors to become a part of the whole LUCERNE FESTIVAL ACADEMY experience. The selected conductors will be able to attend all rehearsals led by Matthias Pintscher and Peter Eötvös and work with them on the master class repertoire. Moreover they can join our Assistant Conductors in their daily work. They will also be part of the Composer Seminar with Wolfgang Rihm whenever there is a need to conduct new scores.

Pro le of Participants

– Advanced conducting students and professional conductors – Age limit: 32
– Language in which the course will be taught: English

Documents to be submitted (all documents can be submitted online) – Application form (online)

  • –  video of a performance/rehearsal of two di erent works, of which one should represent the

    era of the 20th and 21st centuries (submitted by a YouTube or Vimeo link)

  • –  Curriculum vitae in English (maximum of two pages)
  • –  Photo
  • –  List of works already conducted

    Audition | The course management will decide on active participation upon receipt of the registration forms and video recordings. The results of the selections will be announced by the end of March 2018. There is no right of legal appeal. No correspondence will be conducted regarding the decisions.

Application deadline | Monday, 15 January 2018 Course fee | There is no fee for active participation

Travel | The LUCERNE FESTIVAL ACADEMY will cover the travel expenses for each active participant.

Accommodation | The LUCERNE FESTIVAL ACADEMY will arrange and cover the costs of accommodation for each active participant.

Meals | Each active participant will receive a per diem for meals. Scores | Each participant must provide his/her own scores.
