Girton Conducting Course 2023

A residential course with tutors from the Royal Academy of Music and London Conducting Academy, in the historic setting of Girton College, Cambridge.

Tutors: Dominic Grier, Denise Ham and Cathal Garvey
with John Longstaff (principal accompanist and score study)

Repertoire:

Nicolai: Overture to ‘The Merry Wives of Windsor’
Brahms: Variations on the St. Anthony Chorale
Mozart: Symphony No. 29 in A major
Dvořák: Symphony No. 8 in G major
Bartók: Romanian Folk Dances

The course will run from lunchtime on Monday to lunchtime on Saturday; full schedule to include:

· Daily technique sessions
· Workshops with a professional pianist in each
· Score study sessions
· Orchestral sessions

Course fees include tuition, accommodation and meals.
