Practical Conducting Workshops

Practical Conducting Workshops (Ireland) offers intensive courses for a maximum group of ten participants and limited number of observers. These take place twice a year over June and October weekends, in the home of renowned international conductor and teacher Robert Houlihan (www.roberthoulihan.ie), in beautiful Kells, Co. Kerry, Ireland.

This coming October the workshop is carried out with the collaboration of pianist Dearbhla Brosnan, accompanist and repetiteur, who has performed extensively throughout Ireland, Europe, USA and the Far East.

Sessions cover the core symphonic repertoire and each participant receives individual tuition relevant to their ability and experience.

Conducting technique, score learning, analysis and aural development are covered for the chosen repertoire.
