Apply for Juilliard’s Tuition-Free Graduate Resident String Quartet Artist Diploma Program: Due December 1, 2023

Applications are now open for Juilliard’s graduate-level Artist Diploma in String Quartet Studies! This two-year tuition-free program, located at Juilliard’s Lincoln Center campus in the heart of New York City, provides a pre-professional quartet the opportunity to be in residence while studying with the Juilliard String Quartet.During its time at Juilliard, the Graduate Resident String Quartet serves as teaching assistant to the Juilliard String Quartet, coaching other ensembles and assisting in the first-year String Quartet Survey class has exclusive use of a rehearsal studio and full access to all other Juilliard facilities is encouraged and expected to pursue its own performing schedule, in addition to performing an annual New York recital and participating in the Juilliard String Quartet Seminarreceives a stipend in addition to tuition-free study previous Graduate Resident String Quartets include the Calder Quartet, the Verona Quartet, the Ulysses Quartet (pictured here), and, most recently, the Ivalas Quartet. Applications are due by December 1, with in-person auditions taking place in New York City on February 5, 2024.
